A Clarinet Celebration

Clarinetist icon Ricardo Morales joins Chiarina artistic directors and violinist Domenic Salerni in the world premiere of I will dance and dance with you, a work by Venezuelan-American composer Reinaldo Moya that draws on a myriad of pan-American musical styles and the clarinetists who championed them — from Cuban-American Paquito D’Rivera to New Orleanian Sidney Bechet. The program is bookended by two cornerstone works of clarinet chamber music: Brahms’s beloved trio and Bartók’s spirited Contrasts.
